Dr. Yazhen Zhu is a Pathologist who obtained her MD and PhD training in the fields of Clinical Medicine and Pathology. She is currently an Assistant Researcher in the Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, responsible for exploring new clinical applications of NanoVelcro Assays. She also serves as a Medical Advisor in CytoLumina Technologies Corp, overseeing the clinical studies and regulatory clearance of the company’s NanoVelcro circulating tumor cells (CTC) Assays. Over her stay in Guangdong provincial hospital of TCM as an attending physician in 2010-2017, Dr. Zhu has accumulated extensive experience in pathology diagnosis, managing clinical laboratory for cancer molecular diagnosis and conducting translation research on testing new cancer diagnostic assays. Her interest remains in bridging the gap between translational medicine and unmet clinical needs in molecular pathology and oncology.
